To provide excellent and high quality care to support our residents recovery and needs.
What we do:
Deepdene Care is a well-established national mental health provider. Operating since 1987, Deepdene Care is a family run organisation offering a variety of different services to individuals with severe and enduring mental health needs.
Our services include specialised nursing and residential care which are all community based and provide a supportive and therapeutic environment for individuals who are typically moving from a hospital-based service or those who have experienced placement breakdowns.
Many of our clients present with a dual diagnosis and a forensic history. Our services and highly trained staff are experienced in dealing with challenging behaviours and supporting individuals through a tailored programme of rehabilitation.
At Deepdene Care we believe partnership working and the sharing of relevant information is key in the delivery of effective person-centred care. At Deepdene Care we work with many local and national agencies to promote the needs and well-being of our residents.
The journey ahead:
The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) defines recovery from mental disorders and/or substance use disorders as “a process of change through which individuals improve their health and wellness, live a self-directed life, and strive to reach their full potential.”
At Deepdene Care our services are based on providing a safe and homely environment for our residents to reside in, with 24-hour access to person centred care. Residents are integral in their own recovery in which we support them in medication therapy if required, meaningful daily skills development and community integration. By providing a range of enjoyable activities individually and in groups within the home and the community, this helps to promote independence and purpose.
Each resident has their own specific and often complex needs. Our goal is to offer the range of support required to enable the individual to work towards achieving the most positive outcome for them, whether this is a return to independent living and employment, or to a supported environment where they can access all the services the community has to offer.
