Application Process

Deepdene Care’s Human Resources team are on hand to ensure a smooth application and onboarding process.

 

Stage 1 – Initial Application

If you think you are the ideal candidate for one of our vacancies, select ‘Apply Now’ on our Indeed listing or send your CV across to support@deepdenecare.com and state which vacancy you are interested in.
We regularly check our Indeed listings so it’s advised that you apply through this channel.
Make sure you attach a CV with a full employment history to your Indeed application as we will not process applications without one.

 

Stage 2 – Telephone Consultation

If we are interested in your application, we will reach out with a telephone consultation. This is a phone call from the Human Resources team to discuss the specification of the role, your previous experience and why you would be a great fit for the role. If you miss this call, we will send you a message requesting a call back.
If you successfully pass this stage, we will invite you to an interview.

 

Stage 3 – The Interview

Our panel interviews can be either in-person or online via Teams (depending on your convenience and schedule of our management team).
To best prepare you for the interview we recommend you research the company, review our 5 key principles and understand our person-centred care approach.

 

Stage 4 – Home Walkaround

After successfully completing the interview we will invite you for a home ‘walkaround’ which allows you to meet our residents and team. We want this to be a relaxed visit which ensures a mutual fit. If you have any questions- this is a great time to ask the home management team who will be showing you around.

 

Stage 5 – (for management roles only) Psychometric Testing

Our Psychometric Testing is nothing to worry about. It’s a way for you to show off your strengths and identify possible areas for development. There’s no pass or fail – our personality test reviews how you work and how we can accommodate this. Stage 6 – Job Offer / Onboarding process

We are delighted to welcome you into our team! We will give you a call and let you know the good news.

We use the Safer Recruitment process which ensures our onboarding process is efficient, compliant and safe. We only allocate a start date once you are compliant with our onboarding checks. Our onboarding includes the following:

  • We apply and pay for an enhanced DBS check which also includes a Digital ID check
  • We review your work history and qualifications and obtain references which are then verified by the company
  • Following completion of a paid online training day, we arrange for 3 shadow shifts which ensures you are equipped with sound knowledge of the companies’ procedures and are comfortable with your new role

Stage 8 – Induction

  • We arrange for regular 1-2-1’s during your induction period which ensures you have all the support needed to achieve your goals
  • Our mid-probation review during your third month of employment is an opportunity to recognise what you have achieved, your progression with Deepdene Care and identify any potential targets going forward
  • Human Resources will call you during your mid-probation, to see how you are settling into your new role
